What parts of the law are you having a hard time swallowing?
For me - it's the part of the ISPs and Banking institutions reaching into your home to view what you're doing and what you're looking at.
Can you imagine some bored person at AOL - taking screen shots of the intimate conversations you're having with your lovers?
Can you hear the blackmail happening for the people who view simple - normal porn - or for someone who on the spur of the moment decides to laugh at bestiality pictures?
Or a witch hunt on for those who look up Wiccan stuff?
Or Religious Nuts controlling WHAT religion everyone watches?
Or your boss finding out where you've been online because he and the local guy at the cable company are best friends.
Or someone at the bank playing with your finances because they don't like what websites you go to?
You think spyware is bad? Well screw that - it's now GOVERNMENT WARE...
That's why this big mouth thinks the new law is unconstitutional.
I believe in the strength of the people. We choose who is in office and what they deliver to us. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
What happened to the word FREEDOM. I don't mean for people to do whatever they want, but let us do what we have a right to do with our own money AS long as it does not hurt another soul. Gambling online was my only entertainment and I didn't spend a lot doing it. If I was to go to a land based casino I would spend way too much and not have as much fun.
I'm with you on all of that for sure! I spent a good bit Gambling but it is what i chose to do. And i should be able to continue to choose. I have always believed in the Constitution and our Country's leaders, but now my outlook is somewhat altered to say the least. If they can't let us have our freedom then they are just no good to the country in my opinion. They will never recieve another of my votes and that is for sure.
As I said in another post, there are people that can not leave there homes easly to pursue entertainment, and I believe that this new "law" is discriminatory to them. Also I believe that the censorship (as I am calling it) of the internet, to block people from sites is a violation of our rights. What do you suppose the ISP's would do if everyone asked to have their fees lowered to reflect what they are actually getting for their service? Full internet access = full fees, blocked sites, pay less! Makes you wonder what the uproar would be if we all banded together and started making these kinds of demands :)
