`Sec. 5363. Prohibition on acceptance of any financial instrument for unlawful Internet gambling

`No person engaged in the business of betting or wagering may knowingly accept, in connection with the participation of another person in unlawful Internet gambling--

So this means - what payment processors don't know can't hurt them - as long as they are lining the pockets of the government.

Hmmm - Ok - maybe not - but I'm grumpy today and it just kinda feels good to "snipe" at this.

It means basically that Internet Gambling has been made ILLEGAL - and therefore since everyone (oh - and I do mean everyone - go ask your grandmother and someone not involved in the gaming industry and ask them if it's illegal.) (sarcasm... folks...) Well... Since "EVERYONE" Knows that it's illegal - then if you know that it's illegal - then it's not OK to help a payment be processed for gambling online.

`(1) credit, or the proceeds of credit, extended to or on behalf of such other person (including credit extended through the use of a credit card);

OK - here's where credit cards and any "bonus" credits not earned can be misconstrued as being credit for an internet gambling point.

There's not many ways to deposit to something online. Uhm... it's not like you can call up a casino - unless you're a hell of a whale - and say... loan me 10K.

`(2) an electronic fund transfer, or funds transmitted by or through a money transmitting business, or the proceeds of an electronic fund transfer or money transmitting service, from or on behalf of such other person;

Ahhhh... now would this be MONEY PROCESSORS? Like uhmmm Let's say Neteller... and uhm... Click2Pay... Etc?

YUP!

We could even go as far as that Western - ahem - Union that is not doing gambling transfers.

But we aren't giving them any advertisement - because this little ducky read over on the Casinomeister forum that someone got a serious spanking for something with them - and this little ducky doesn't want a nasty note from them.

`(3) any check, draft, or similar instrument which is drawn by or on behalf of such other person and is drawn on or payable at or through any financial institution; or

Well Gee - ya think we got it through our thick heads yet... ANY PAYMENT...

OK - here they say check. Uh... duh....

They even go so far as to elude to Money Orders without saying that. Wonder what the USPS thinks? I mean - gee - how many folks were sending them - and all those lost fees... Sigh...

`(4) the proceeds of any other form of financial transaction, as the Secretary and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System may jointly prescribe by regulation, which involves a financial institution as a payor or financial intermediary on behalf of or for the benefit of such other person.

Well ok - again - how DUMB are these people?

This whole entire chapter section specifically say --- NO TRANSFER OF ANY MONETARY VALUE MAY TAKE PLACE IN ANY FORM...

And then goes on to say in (4) that and if we think it's a form of valuable transfer - even if it isn't listed... We're going to stop it in it's tracks - and say OTHER ITEMS - OPEN CAVEAT.

You can't hide from us - you uneducated little peon US Citizen. You're stupid and we make the rules. And even if it isn't in the rules - don't bother trying to get around it - because we're the big BAD US Government - and we're going to add new rules as we go along.

How ya liking the US Government now?

Oh, yes, they've covered all the bases on this one. I am ALMOST afraid to post anything in the casino forums about methods of payment now. I gave someone some email advice, like a dumbass, about WPvisa last week, and BINGO!(pun intended), this week none of the MG casinos I play at will take my card...makes me paranoid now.I'm starting to think that there is a lot of investigation going on in the forums too. This person emailed me out of the blue, has never addressed me in the forums...all that info is there. Scary. And, Click, I'm with you, I believe this will all be turned around, but there needs to be a LOT of participation and squawking going on from US Citizens and Civil rights people.

I am just seriously wondering how they let this get so out of hand? I am not at all impressed with our Government at the moment but I can't help but feel somehow this is going to be fixed. Someone is going to take a stand in that house and make progress. I believe that.
