Posted - 01/30/2007 : 13:55:14 I have always had the utmost respect for the Elected Officials in our
Country. But now I have to stand back and ask myself where did we
we go wrong? What happened?
We live in a Country that is suppose to have freedom for
the people? But yet we are watching our freedom slip away? My
opinion of our Elected Officials has changed and not for the better.
I feel regret for the fact that they care so little about the people
to take the one gift we were given "OUR FREEDOM"

Posted - 04/25/2007 : 02:49:32 I think we have had a lot of visitors - some political - some not. We lost a lot of interest with it being so quiet - but I haven't given up hope yet.

Posted - 02/28/2007 : 16:02:54 Have we gotten any politicians who are willing to participate in this forum? It is sad that politicians continually sign bills without reading them in their entirety. They say there just is not enough time for all the bills that they are presented with. Well, who's fault is that? If they would stop all of the lobbyists from taking time (oh yeah, but they give money) and stop all of the campaigning (oh yeah, that would hurt their money ... I just wish the politicians would remember that this is their job. You know, JOB, like, 40 hrs a week, 48-52 weeks a years. Yes, they forget that they get paid a yearly salary by us. There is no need for them going here, there and everywhere. Go to Washington, stay in Washington and read the damn bills and make sure your constituents would want you to sign them. What's so hard about that? If they say they are working way more hours than the average worker, that is their fault. They need to take a good hard look at just what exactly they are doing and then ask, is this benefitting my constituents. No going to Hawaii to campaign for someone, or to study the pineapple farmer, doesn't benefit me here in Illinois, lol. You get my drift. |

Posted - 02/01/2007 : 15:21:45 Totally in agreement there.
What our Country was supposed to be and what it is now scares me.
And like I said - this isn't totally about gambling. Not to be a fear monger but if 51% of the people don't want something to be made illegal - then the government should represent that!
I just need to figure out how to PROVE that.
To prove that we don't want or need this law - and it was passed because of a group of politicians who never bothered to ask the US People exactly what they wanted.
It passed because no one noticed...
It passed because no one really knows how to read the bills - or took the time to read the lengthy bills.
It passed because we don't know how to organize.
We need to learn - and we need to learn and we need to learn fast how to play THEIR GAME.
