Posted - 02/09/2007 : 03:15:58 I'm really more fearful of having my tiny bank account siezed!!
You know what I compare this to... If it went this far.. It's like going after a harmless user of a controlled substance, instead of a cartel!!!
Meki- I applaud you for being such a stand-up lady!

Posted - 01/29/2007 : 01:02:10 Rep. Chris Strow, R-Whidbey Island is sick of the "Nanny State" legislation and is standing up. See what he has to say and is trying to do for residents in Washington State. Any type of win in one state may put a little steel in the backbone of representatives in other states.

Posted - 01/28/2007 : 21:16:58 Anything is possible but I don't believe they will actually place gamblers in jail, it's my opinion that they will be more interested in the links we use to get to the Gambling Sites. Those that make money off of someone else playing, portals and such with Casino ads. The bigger fish so to speak. The jails are not big enough with all the other wrong in the world to house that many people for the state to take care of. That would be an additional loss as i see it.However i do feel that we would recieve a warning if it were to get to the jail part. And then if we didnt cooperate who knows they just might. I think if we could find that one powerful person that we could ban together and get this law changed, it is just crazy. They want to tell us where we can go or not go online to Casino's ect but yet they are not paying the bill for me to have access. When they pay my dsl bill they may have a little say so , until then that's my bill that i pay and my right to choose where i go online. |
